The Freer Sackler contracted with ELY to fabricate a mount to allow this monumental frame to be displayed at two different venues. To create the mount required specialized rigging of the object and then coming up with a design solution that would support such an enormous piece. ELY’s mountmakers created a mount made from steel that would not only support this very large frame but would allow for its repeated use. The mount had the added benefit of alleviating wear and tear on the object for handling and packing purposes. MM_Freer Sackler Frame.pdf
