Jefferson and Slavery at Monticello: Paradox of Liberty
Mount Design, Fabrication & Installation, Crating, Traveling Exhibition Services
In 2012, ELY provided mountmaking and installation services to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. We designed and fabricated mounts for nearly 300 artifacts for the museum’s Jefferson and Slavery at Monticello: Paradox of Liberty exhibition. After the successful installation, the Thomas Jefferson Foundation asked ELY’s team to provide traveling exhibition services, including packing, crating, transit logistics, as well as installation of the artifacts and interactive components.
