ELY mounted and installed over 60 artifacts in the Sant Ocean Hall at Natural History. Some of the ethnographic objects had pre-existing mounts that the conservators wished to reuse to minimize object handling. ELY adjusted these mounts, taking off sharp edges, rebending mounts to relieve pinched artifacts and adding additional supports where needed. This ELY mount for a Micronesian boat model supports four independent but related objects (the boat, sail, rudder and mast) and discreetly carries the weight of the outrigger. MM_NMNH_OceanHall.pdf
